Responsibilities
- Support and improve CI/CD pipeline tools for development teams.
- Build infrastructure-as-code tools and deploy infrastructure for development environments.
- Containerize applications to improve deployment processes and resilience.
- Improve the reliability, cost efficiency, scalability, and operational efficiency of hosted infrastructure and internal applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks and respond to service issues and requests.
- Develop internal tooling and self-service solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage development resources and access controls and apply security benchmarking practices.
- Work with development and quality assurance teams to streamline workflows.
- Prepare infrastructure to scale dynamically and recover from disaster scenarios.
- Collaborate with development teams to advance shared technical and operational goals.
- Perform occasional after-hours work.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps position.
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Production experience running Kubernetes/EKS environments.
- Competency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Go; Go is preferred.
- Familiarity with CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Professional experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Git, monitoring tools, application performance monitoring, logging, and infrastructure.
- Brief experience working with MySQL, Amazon Aurora, and Redshift.
