Base Salary

$161k - $221k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines for high-volume sensor data from semiconductor manufacturing systems.
  • Model physical relationships and develop predictive and control algorithms using physics-based and machine learning methods.
  • Develop ML surrogates and reduced-order models based on rigorous physics simulations.
  • Build maintainable software modules that integrate with manufacturing tools, control systems, dashboards, and physical-world applications.
  • Analyze sensor and metrology data and improve simulation and model accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with physics, engineering, software, and data science teams to deploy intelligent automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computational Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus at least two years of relevant industry or research experience.
  • Deep expertise in theoretical physics, applied mathematics, computational science, or simulation-driven engineering.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning, data science, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Strong software engineering skills and the ability to turn complex algorithms into scalable, production-ready code.
  • Experience with computational methods, computer-aided engineering, engineering simulation, physical modeling, or complex-systems analysis is preferred.
  • Experience applying machine learning to scientific, engineering, or industrial problems is preferred.
  • Interest or experience in sensors, instrumentation, hardware systems, robotics, or software connected to physical-world applications is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary environments and solve complex technical problems is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $161,000.00-$221,000.00, with potential bonus and stock award eligibility; compensation figures are excluded from benefit details.
  • Santa Clara, California location with relocation eligibility and approximately 10% travel.
