Responsibilities
- Write, test, and maintain code, scripts, automation, and technical tools supporting video platforms and services.
- Assist with enhancements to video technology platforms, workflows, integrations, and supporting systems.
- Perform functional, integration, system, and operational testing of software, configurations, and platform changes.
- Review logs, monitoring information, and performance data to identify issues and support troubleshooting.
- Support break-fix activities, configuration changes, software updates, deployments, production changes, and post-change validation.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues across video, server, and operations teams with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Assist with root cause analysis, corrective actions, incident documentation, procedures, testing results, and troubleshooting materials.
- Identify and support automation, process improvement, and platform enhancement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with consideration for coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- Two to five years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Linux and command-line interfaces.
- Familiarity with video streaming technologies such as HLS and DASH and basic adaptive bitrate streaming concepts.
- Exposure to cloud services and technologies such as AWS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and willingness to learn new technologies.
