Base Salary
$188k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and solutioning for priority partner integrations, including API research, data mapping, authentication, architecture, implementation support, and launch readiness.
- Build and maintain developer portals, documentation tooling, SDKs, sample applications, quickstarts, integration templates, and developer-support automation.
- Create reusable integration patterns for OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, asynchronous workflows, error handling, and observability.
- Run technical working sessions with partners and translate requirements into clear decisions, recommendations, and action plans.
- Collaborate with Public API Engineering and Product to validate API designs and provide evidence-backed feedback.
- Own partner integrations or a multi-surface developer journey from design through delivery, operational readiness, and iteration.
- Use support questions, integration telemetry, and qualitative feedback to improve developer self-service.
- Review designs and code, mentor teammates, and improve engineering quality across internal systems and partner-facing artifacts.
- Collaborate with Security, Support, Engineering, Product, Partnerships, and Sales to ensure integrations are safe, observable, and supportable.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Strong experience consuming, integrating with, or building HTTP APIs, including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, authentication, tokens, scopes, webhooks, pagination, rate limits, and error handling.
- Backend and/or full-stack web-development experience with one or more modern languages such as TypeScript, Go, Ruby, or Python.
- Experience designing reliable integration behavior involving retries, idempotency, asynchronous workflows, data contracts, monitoring, and incident and debugging practices.
- Strong technical writing and ability to explain architecture and tradeoffs to engineers, product partners, and external developers.
- Evidence of delivering customer-facing or developer-facing experiences with strong usability and documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, Partnerships and Sales, Support, and Security.
- Preferred experience maintaining an SDK, developer portal, API documentation, CLI, sample application, open source libraries, or integration marketplace.
- Preferred experience with regulated, high-trust, or data-sensitive domains; OpenAPI; API-client generation; event-driven systems; workflow engines; or enterprise technical stakeholders.
