Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features, including requirements evaluation, technical specifications, design, coding, estimation, risk assessment, implementation planning, and production deployment.
- Develop and maintain enterprise Java and Spring applications, modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React frontends, and database solutions using SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Build automated unit, integration, and contract tests and contribute to CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
- Monitor production implementations, provide hypercare and Level 3 technical support, and resolve operational and functional defects.
- Align solutions with enterprise architecture, secure coding guidelines, governance procedures, and industry best practices.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize Java application services and database queries.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and participate in peer code reviews and technical guidance.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk, Checkmarx, and SonarQube.
- Collaborate with technical leads, Scrum Masters, product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and distributed teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering and systems analysis experience in enterprise Java applications, with the posting also referencing 5–8+ years.
- Bachelor's or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Senior individual contributor experience delivering complex features and modules from requirements analysis through production deployment.
- In-depth Core Java knowledge, including concurrency, multithreading, collections, and memory management, plus strong Spring experience.
- Full-stack experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React.js, SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with automated testing, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins or GitHub, and CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams and managing projects, deadlines, and changing requirements.
- Preferred experience in financial services, banking, capital markets, or securities services.
- Familiarity with SWIFT ISO 15022/20022, FIX, sFTP, or NDM financial messaging and file-transfer standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, resilience, accountability, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.
