Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
- Review and test software components, verify adherence to design requirements, and document test results.
- Apply software development and design methodologies appropriate to the environment.
- Provide software component input for system design, including evaluating COTS and GOTS solutions.
- Analyze system performance standards, usage, and work processes; confer with users and system engineers; and investigate problem areas.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and comparable platforms.
- Support software development, operations, IT management, and network automation activities.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an appropriate field plus eight years of software engineering experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus six years or a PhD plus three years.
- Strong Linux and Python experience is required.
- Understanding of IT management and operations is required.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, software development, and broad systems engineering disciplines is required or desired.
- Familiarity with network automation tools, cloud security and operations, and PowerShell is desired.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect certification is a plus.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and communication skills are desired.
