Base Salary
$124k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux system software in C/C++ for performance, stability, and recoverability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues using debugging, profiling, root-cause analysis, and regression-prevention techniques.
- Contribute to WebKit-based GUI capabilities, including responsive rendering, event handling, and integration with system services.
- Integrate and troubleshoot device connectivity involving computer peripherals and I/O interfaces.
- Apply software development lifecycle practices including iterative delivery, code review, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Maintain tooling and automation that improve code quality, delivery speed, maintainability, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, and platform teams to align requirements and deliver software.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities while validating generated outputs and handling data responsibly.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ in a Linux environment.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of Go is preferred.
