Base Salary
$80k - $137k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services using languages such as TypeScript, Java, C#, and Python.
- Independently own delivery of complex features, services, and technical components while making sound technical decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business and user needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture, solution design, technical tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.
- Use AI-assisted tools for coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and analysis while applying them responsibly.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards, quality expectations, and secure development practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and reliability concerns.
- Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other validation approaches.
- Improve development workflows, automation, observability, and engineering efficiency.
- Explore AI and machine learning capabilities and recommend practical applications.
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and modeling strong engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant and related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience; additional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language or technology stack, such as TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience delivering production-grade software and independently owning significant features or technical components.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality.
- Ability to apply AI tools responsibly with attention to security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and human oversight.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile or Kanban methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts; hands-on database experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with OWASP threats, mitigation techniques, and secure coding practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited day-to-day supervision.
