Base Salary
$278k - $339k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and address key security gaps in Databricks infrastructure and services.
- Create the vision and define the strategy for security and privacy engineering within Trust & Safety.
- Represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Attract top technical talent from across the industry.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
- Deliver high-quality security solutions for a highly available, large-scale platform.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data security or related areas.
- 15+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Expertise in at least two security areas, such as cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, privacy, authentication, identity management, access control, or detection and response.
- Leadership experience across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills for explaining and evangelizing data security to senior company leaders.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is highly desirable.
