Responsibilities
- Build and maintain modern web applications as a Frontend or Backend Software Engineer.
- Design shared frontend systems and develop applications using modern component-oriented frameworks.
- Architect and develop large-scale, complex, multi-tier web applications and cloud-based backend systems.
- Develop web services and collaborate with frontend teams on mocks, payloads, and API payload design.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases while considering common use cases and performance pitfalls.
- Apply software engineering fundamentals, testing methodologies, and automation practices.
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams of software engineers in backend engineering contexts.
- Collaborate and communicate with global, multidisciplinary teams in English and, for frontend roles, Portuguese.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
- Frontend candidates should have solid experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, CSS-in-JS, modern web application development, shared Design Systems, CSS, testing methodologies, and automation.
- Backend candidates should have experience mentoring multiple multidisciplinary software engineering teams, architecting large-scale multi-tier web applications, cloud-based architectures, web services, and computer science fundamentals.
- Backend candidates should have experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DynamoDB and proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Node.js, or Golang.
- Frontend candidates need strong communication skills in English and Portuguese; backend candidates need the ability to communicate and present ideas and solutions in English.
- Candidates should be open to learning and working in an agile environment.
