Responsibilities
- Develop complex latency-sensitive trading product suites.
- Optimize systems for low latency and high-throughput processing.
- Build execution gateways and interfaces to multiple exchanges and dark pools.
- Implement fault-tolerant systems and robust recovery mechanisms.
- Profile, benchmark, and tune JVM, garbage collection, and networking performance.
- Design and deliver high-quality software across development, testing, documentation, and support.
- Collaborate with product teams, stakeholders, end users, development teams, QA, and support teams across regions.
- Provide L3 production support, application testing, maintenance releases, and rapid resolution of production and user issues.
- Contribute to architecture, design decisions, code reviews, and software delivery best practices.
Requirements
- Excellent technical skills in Core Java, high-performance messaging, multithreading, memory management, TCP/UDP networking, and performance optimization.
- Experience with GitLab CI and continuous integration.
- Experience developing trading systems and/or complex event processing systems.
- Deep understanding of multithreading, NIO, concurrency, lock-free data structures, and garbage collection tuning.
- Experience with memory-mapped files, off-heap storage, or zero-copy I/O.
- Linux exposure and shell scripting experience.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Investment banking or capital markets knowledge is desirable.
- Knowledge of equity trading markets, particularly compliance-related issues and challenges, is desirable.
- Exposure to exchange connectivity or FIX is highly desirable.
