Responsibilities

Build robust platforms and tools for rapid and secure service provisioning.
Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices with a focus on automation.
Design and implement test strategies for reliability, performance, and security.
Write clear, maintainable, and performant code.
Debug issues in cloud-native distributed systems using various diagnostic tools.
Contribute to platform features by designing well-tested APIs in Go or Python.
Partner with Identity and Security teams to enhance user identity and access controls.
Ensure systems meet operational and regulatory expectations through secure practices.
Author design documents, test plans, and usage guides.
Champion new ideas and take calculated risks.

6+ years of software engineering or SRE experience.
3+ years managing cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as AKS or EKS.
Proficiency in managed languages like Python, Go, C#, or Java.
Experience with CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure and software processes.
Familiarity with observability tools for debugging and reliability improvements.
Experience designing tooling for SaaS/PaaS systems.
Knowledge of identity and access management concepts.
Experience with Okta or similar identity providers is a strong asset.
Empathy for the needs of software engineers.
Ability to obtain RCMP Enhanced Reliability Status and Secret clearance.
