Base Salary
$97k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and operation of core Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.
- Own architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, operational readiness, and production support.
- Improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.
- Design integrations across build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.
- Lead technical initiatives through ambiguity, establish engineering standards, and mentor engineers through design and code reviews.
- Use production signals and customer feedback to prioritize platform improvements and partner with engineering and product teams on the Merino roadmap.
- Champion effective use of AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows while maintaining engineering rigor.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.
- Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Experience operating reliable cloud services in OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, infrastructure as code, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives across ambiguity and competing priorities, with strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.
- Preferred experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agentic coding tools; AI-generated code review, testing, and architectural ownership.
- Preferred experience building internal engineering platforms focused on developer experience and reliability, including release orchestration, progressive rollout, rollback validation, and large-scale production deployments.
