Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve standardized infrastructure foundation patterns, configurations, and Windows and Linux base images.
  • Build and operate automation-first provisioning through approved engineering patterns and pipelines, prohibiting bespoke or manual builds.
  • Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards, reusable modules, policy controls, and deployment guardrails.
  • Design and operate an image factory for automated image building, validation, hardening, versioning, and publishing.
  • Lead patching, lifecycle management, baseline compliance, service-level outcomes, and audit-ready evidence for foundational infrastructure.
  • Own capacity management and cloud-native quota modeling, including forecasting, trend analysis, thresholds, and lifecycle planning.
  • Engineer network and name-service integrations, including DNS and Infoblox, and operate standardized NetApp storage foundations.
  • Implement identity and access patterns aligned with enterprise security and platform standards.
  • Implement policy checks, automated drift detection, and remediation workflows to eliminate manual variance.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across compute, network, storage, and identity while driving root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Apply infrastructure standards across Azure, GCP, AWS, and OCI.
  • Influence stakeholders and align engineering teams with approved infrastructure patterns and guardrails.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of cloud engineering experience.
  • Senior-level infrastructure engineering or solution architecture experience focused on standardized IaaS foundations and automation across Azure, GCP, AWS, OCI, or comparable cloud environments.
  • Strong Windows and Linux administration skills, including patching, baseline hardening, and lifecycle management.
  • Expertise with networking, SSL, DNS, and Infoblox or equivalent IPAM/DNS tooling.
  • Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp and standardized storage and access patterns.
  • Experience integrating identity and access patterns with enterprise directory and security standards.
  • Hands-on experience building infrastructure-as-code standards using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, including reusable modules, guardrails, and policy-based controls.
  • Experience implementing image factory pipelines and controls that prevent manual build variance and drift.
  • Strong operational rigor in incident and problem management, root-cause analysis, documentation, and measurable service outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and align engineering teams.
