Responsibilities
- Create and automate features for OpenSearch and other data platforms.
- Write high-quality, idiomatic Python code.
- Support fault-tolerant replication, TLS, installation, and other OpenSearch operations.
- Debug issues and interact publicly with upstream open-source communities.
- Collaborate with an internationally distributed engineering team.
- Travel globally for approximately 2–4 weeks per year for internal and external events.
Requirements
- Hands-on software development experience using Python.
- Hands-on distributed systems development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
- Willingness to travel up to four times per year for internal events.
