Responsibilities
- Lead or drive the migration of legacy SAS data preparation jobs to a modern Python-based data engineering framework.
- Analyze SAS scripts and workflows to identify logic and dependencies, then translate them into scalable Python data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and engineers to validate and test converted workflows.
- Optimize Python workflows and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Document migration processes, coding standards, and pipeline configurations.
- Integrate pipelines with Google Cloud Platform and support testing, validation, and production deployment.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience with Python, Pandas, data frames, and SQL on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of data transformation workflows, database systems, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with modern Python frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education.
