
Senior Salesforce Technical Consultant – Life Sciences
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop enterprise Salesforce solutions using Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, modern web frameworks, middleware, and backend systems.
- Implement Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, and OmniStudio solutions while addressing HIPAA, GxP, PHI, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Design scalable data models, sharing rules, security models, object structures, and custom platform logic.
- Build, optimize, and document REST- and SOAP-based integrations with enterprise platforms, EHR/EMR systems, and middleware using HL7/FHIR where applicable.
- Facilitate technical and functional workshops, review user stories, map user journeys, and guide client technical teams.
- Evaluate implementation options, define architectures, manage technical risks, and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development while maintaining security and platform governor-limit requirements.
- Participate in Salesforce Services development best practices, DevOps and release-management workflows, automated testing, and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Travel to client sites as required, averaging approximately 50% depending on project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent.
- At least 5 years of technology development experience, including at least 3 years in client-facing consulting or system implementation roles.
- Strong object-oriented programming experience with Apex, Java, C#, or Python, plus fluent JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and web component engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing Salesforce data models, custom logic, and platform integrations.
- Foundational knowledge of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or healthcare providers and related compliance constraints.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and system security protocols.
- Ability to analyze complex requirements, design adaptable technical solutions, work independently, and communicate effectively with clients.
- Preferred experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, OmniStudio, Veeva CRM, HL7, FHIR, CI/CD tools, Git, automated testing frameworks, MuleSoft, and AI coding assistants.
- Salesforce certifications are highly beneficial; expected certifications include Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, JavaScript Developer I, and Health Cloud Accredited or OmniStudio Developer.
