Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android software development and product releases.
  • Build and maintain automation for software builds, testing, packaging, and release processes.
  • Optimize build performance, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity across engineering teams.
  • Administer and enhance Git, Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, artifact repositories, and related build infrastructure.
  • Manage branching strategies, build generation, release automation, software versioning, and release candidate creation.
  • Partner with software teams, chipset vendors, and ODM partners on platform bring-up, BSP integration, software releases, and issue resolution.
  • Develop tools and automation that reduce manual effort and improve engineering workflows.
  • Monitor and improve the availability, security, scalability, and performance of build infrastructure.
  • Use AI and automation technologies to streamline development, build analysis, troubleshooting, and developer workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in build engineering, release engineering, DevOps, or software engineering within the enterprise Android ecosystem.
  • Experience collaborating with silicon vendors such as Qualcomm and MediaTek and with ODM/OEM partners.
  • Strong experience with Git, Gerrit, GitHub, and modern source-control workflows.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar automation platforms.
  • Strong experience with Android build systems including Soong, Make, Gradle, Repo, and Android platform build environments.
  • Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with build automation, release management, and software versioning.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include Android BSP development, platform integration, Qualcomm or MediaTek platforms, Android bring-up, vendor release integration, embedded Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, configuration management, cloud platforms, distributed build systems, Artifactory or Nexus, infrastructure security hardening, AI-assisted development automation, and monitoring or observability platforms.
