Base Salary
$209k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build fast, reliable, broadly adopted paved paths for Crusoe’s engineering organization.
- Identify and automate repetitive development tasks and other sources of engineering toil.
- Develop libraries, tools, and pre-production environments for vetting service APIs and complex microservice interactions.
- Integrate internal tooling and vendor services to automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and optimize security.
- Innovate across source code management, build systems, code review, CI/CD pipelines, platform runtimes, and telemetry.
- Establish a scalable culture of continuous quality delivery.
- Build efficient systems and processes that multiply the impact of engineers.
- Shape technical direction, communicate strategic vision, and partner with stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- Previous experience building developer tools or infrastructure for engineering teams.
- Expertise evaluating infrastructure tradeoffs and their effect on developer productivity.
- Fluent knowledge of AI tooling, build tooling, containerization, and open-source development frameworks.
- Professional experience managing or developing within Kubernetes clusters and a deep understanding of container orchestration.
- Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Release Engineering, or a similar productivity-focused discipline.
- Deep understanding of automated testing infrastructure and its integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in modern programming languages, specifically Go, and advanced proficiency with Git-based workflows using GitLab or GitHub.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience informing long-term company objectives through technical insight and developer advocacy.
- Preferred experience building AI agent platforms for engineering teams.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Linux image construction, package building, and kernel-level optimizations.
- Open-source community involvement or evidence of staying current with developer productivity advancements is preferred.
- Background solving complex technical problems and automating the resulting solutions is preferred.
