Base Salary
$197k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and build enterprise security and compliance features with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Produce high-quality software that secures Slack and supports enterprise adoption.
- Own core security systems such as SSO, SCIM, or EKM architecture and improve their surrounding infrastructure.
- Drive technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions, and build scalable, performant, maintainable systems and APIs.
- Assist support and operations teams with production issue triage and resolution to maintain high availability.
- Mentor engineers, conduct deep code reviews, and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience building web applications.
- Proficiency in functional or imperative programming languages such as PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, Go, or C.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
- Ability to drive technical decisions and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Ability to write understandable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support staff, and engineers.
- A related technical degree is required.

- The stated base salary ranges are $197,300–$313,700 annually, or $237,700–$344,700 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area locations.
