Responsibilities
- Design and develop critical product features in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Own mobile-layer architectural decisions covering navigation, state management, native module integration, and performance strategy.
- Integrate AI and development tools to improve engineering efficiency and code standards.
- Drive code quality through code reviews, standards, and testing practices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the JavaScript thread, native bridge, and render pipeline.
- Scale mobile CI/CD infrastructure, release processes, and engineering tooling.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and serve as the primary mobile platform liaison for internal teams.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional mobile development experience with a strong focus on React Native.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns such as Flux, Redux, or MobX.
- Proven expertise shipping and maintaining high-quality React Native applications at scale, including component architecture and performance tuning.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Expo, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, mobile SDKs or shared component libraries, REST APIs, GraphQL, open-source React Native libraries, mentoring, and native iOS or Android development.
- Experience in a remote-first or distributed engineering environment is preferred.
