Base Salary
$197k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver ML models and components for real-world business problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions involving model selection, data and feature selection, training, hyperparameter tuning, dimensionality, bias/variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Build and enhance software for large-scale data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Apply continuous integration, continuous deployment, test automation, and monitoring practices.
- Manage code and model governance while following Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of ML experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating ML solutions in production, operating cloud production services, and using Kubernetes for containerized ML systems.
- Preferred: master’s or doctoral degree in a related field.
- Preferred: experience optimizing ML algorithms, configurations, and infrastructure; applying software development best practices; building resilient production systems; and designing scalable ML training and evaluation pipelines.
- Preferred: experience with supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning; common model architectures; training concepts; and model evaluation and diagnosis.
- Preferred: at least 1 year of technical leadership developing ML solutions and authorship or co-authorship of an ML paper, technique, model, or proof of concept.
