Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for database operations.
- Support toil identification and reduction initiatives for Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- Help build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Improve automation, monitoring, operational processes, documentation, and technical runbooks.
- Identify inefficient manual processes and propose automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with SREs, database engineers, and infrastructure specialists while gaining practical database administration experience.
Requirements
- Be a third- or fourth-year university student, preferably studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Have a genuine interest in automation, programming, and infrastructure technologies.
- Have basic programming or scripting knowledge, preferably Python or Bash.
- Have basic knowledge of Linux, databases, and SQL.
- Be willing to learn enterprise technologies and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Have good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and English-language skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Oracle or PostgreSQL experience, advanced SQL knowledge, Git and version control knowledge, Terraform or Ansible experience, CI/CD familiarity, and prior automation, university, or personal projects.
