Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Progress OOABL and Java.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Write clean, efficient, and documented code according to coding standards.
- Collaborate with QA, business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Perform code reviews and support production systems with technical assistance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience.
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL).
- Experience with at least one additional object-oriented language such as Java, C++, C#, or Python.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, design principles, software development lifecycle practices, debugging, bug fixing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to QAD ERP products, enterprise application architecture, and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, teamwork, independent-work, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
