Base Salary
$123k - $188k/yr
Responsibilities
- Interpret customer specifications and define software design requirements.
- Capture and document existing software products to meet qualification standards for highly regulated and safety-critical government contracts.
- Provide technical leadership to software engineering team members and lead software development activities through design, implementation, and system integration.
- Review project progress, assist with earned value reporting, and recommend technical corrections to improve engineering resource efficiency.
- Improve software team performance through DevSecOps-assisted automation and process streamlining.
- Support programs from conceptual design through detailed design and completion.
- Lead and operate Agile sprint/Kanban teams, including sprint planning, Jira workflow management, and tracking team deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent four-year degree, plus six years of relevant experience in systems software design and analysis for power conversion equipment.
- Alternatively, a master's or advanced degree with four years of prior related experience, or ten years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Expertise in embedded real-time systems software design and embedded C and C++ programming.
- Experience with object- and service-based software architectures is a plus.
- Expertise with communication protocols including RS-232, RS-485, and Ethernet.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret/security clearance.
- Experience developing and releasing highly regulated, safety-critical, medical-grade, or military-grade software is preferred.
- Familiarity with control systems, power conversion concepts, power electronics, and analog circuits is preferred.
- Knowledge of Python or C-Sharp is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior project management and customer representatives and collaborate with power, digital, analog, systems, control systems, and mechanical engineers.
