Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable cloud-based data integration platforms for high-volume data processing and delivery.
- Develop modern data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, Terraform, Apache Airflow, and Informatica.
- Develop and support enterprise applications and services using Java, SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, and data integration architectures.
- Build and maintain ETL and data transformation solutions, APIs, web services, automated deployments, and unit tests.
- Partner with engineers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and distributed development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
- Influence architectural and technical decisions, drive delivery outcomes, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience designing large-scale data processing solutions with BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform.
- Experience developing applications and services using Java, SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, and data integration architectures.
- Experience building and supporting ETL and data transformation solutions and maintaining APIs and web services.
- Experience with CI/CD practices, automated deployment processes, unit testing, and high code quality standards.
- Knowledge of Agile development and iterative delivery practices, along with strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include 7 or more years of enterprise cloud and data engineering experience, Apache Airflow, Informatica, Python or TypeScript, distributed-team experience, Google Cloud certifications, Jira, process improvement, and technical leadership or mentoring experience.
