Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve cloud-based data solutions for high-volume data processing and delivery.
- Develop scalable data integration platforms and modern data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies.
- Build ETL and data transformation solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform.
- Develop and support Java applications, services, REST APIs, and web services.
- Design solutions involving SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, and data integration architectures.
- Implement automated deployment processes, write unit tests, and maintain high code quality.
- Partner with engineers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and distributed development teams.
- Influence technical decisions, guide implementation approaches, improve engineering practices, and drive delivery outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within Agile teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
- At least 5 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience implementing large-scale data processing solutions with GCP technologies including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and Terraform.
- Experience developing applications and services using Java.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, data integration architectures, ETL, and data transformation.
- Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs and web services.
- Experience implementing automated deployment processes and CI/CD practices.
- Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high code quality standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical decision-making abilities.
- Preferred: 7 or more years delivering enterprise-scale cloud and data engineering solutions.
- Preferred: experience with Apache Airflow, Informatica, Python, TypeScript, Jira, geographically distributed engineering teams, Google Cloud Professional Certifications, process improvement, operational efficiency, and mentoring engineers.
