Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve the embedded software architecture for Wayve’s next-generation autonomy platform.
- Develop and guide hands-on prototypes and reference implementations for architectural decisions.
- Analyze and optimize performance, reliability, and scalability across the embedded software stack.
- Collaborate with AI, platform, and vehicle systems teams and external partners including NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and OEMs.
- Drive modern development practices, tools, and standards for high-assurance embedded software.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical reviews and joint design work using technical influence rather than headcount management.
- Represent Wayve in external technical discussions about software and hardware architecture.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software and systems engineering experience with strong embedded systems expertise in robotics, automotive, or similar domains.
- Hands-on software development experience in C/C++, with familiarity in Python or Rust.
- Experience delivering large-scale production systems with deep involvement in architecture, design, and code.
- Expertise in system performance analysis, optimization, and debugging.
- Experience shaping teams of 25+ engineers and influencing organizations of 100+ engineers through technical leadership.
- Ability to represent the company in technical discussions with OEMs, chip vendors, and partners.
- Automotive or safety-critical software experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Drive platforms including Orin, DriveOS, and DriveWorks is desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive software frameworks such as AUTOSAR is desirable.
