Responsibilities
- Participate in HCSC’s formal internship program and support security engineering project work.
- Own components of projects and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
- Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations for business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Support departmental initiatives improving business outcomes and member and client experience.
- Prepare and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.
Requirements
- Pursuing a master’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, information security, information technology, or a related field with comparable experience considered.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Available for the full ten-week internship program.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Programming or systems analysis experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with application or product feature design and application configuration is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, initiative, and continuous-learning skills.
- Practical PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and Access.
