Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve high-quality mainframe software solutions.
- Write scalable, maintainable, optimized, and secure code using appropriate programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, peers, and business functions to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, knowledge sharing, and technology communities.
- Support mainframe automation, infrastructure evolution, deployment pipelines, and modernization efforts.
- Manage risks and controls, follow applicable policies and regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Resolve complex technical problems and communicate technical or sensitive information to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of JCL, COBOL, DB2, Endevor, and CICS.
- Good knowledge of the credit card or payments domain.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to complex solutioning.
- Strong commitment to changing standards and practices.
- Knowledge of Triumph card processor is valued.
- Experience with mainframe automation is valued.
- Knowledge of mainframe modernization tools such as GitLab Duo and VS Code is valued.
