Responsibilities
- Build and evolve AI products such as Nex and Fyn, companion tools, and self-service analytics for engineering effectiveness and FinOps.
- Design agentic workflows using tool calling, orchestration, retrieval, memory, permissions, human approvals, and auditable execution.
- Integrate engineering and financial data through APIs and reliable data pipelines involving Slack, Jira, the developer portal, and cloud and AI providers.
- Build FinOps capabilities for cost attribution, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization across cloud, AI, and software spending.
- Improve delivery visibility and reduce administrative toil, waiting time, and workflow friction for engineering teams.
- Own products from discovery and design through deployment and operation, including evaluations, tests, and observability for agent behavior, reliability, security, latency, and cost.
- Collaborate with engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Employee Tech to prioritize improvements and use adoption, feedback, and measurable outcomes to guide development.
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years of senior-level software engineering experience building and operating production applications or services.
- Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications and agentic systems used in real workflows, including the ability to explain design decisions, failure modes, and trade-offs.
- Strong coding skills in at least one language, ideally Python or TypeScript, with confidence working with APIs, data integrations, and distributed systems.
- Practical experience deploying and operating software in AWS or a comparable cloud, including observability and sensible decisions about reliability, security, and operating cost.
- Interest or experience in engineering effectiveness, developer experience, delivery flow, automation, and responsible resource use.
- Clear communication, product thinking, ownership, and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes FinOps, cloud cost optimization, engineering analytics, developer experience, engineering operations, internal tools, dashboards, data products, agent frameworks, MCP integrations, Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, or the Strands Agents SDK.
- Experience with other agent stacks and a willingness to learn relevant domains are welcomed.
