Base Salary
$184k - $357k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end perception and autonomous-vehicle stack solutions for traffic signal detection across varied driving environments.
- Develop deep-learning models for traffic-light detection, traffic-sign recognition, road-marking detection, construction-object detection, text recognition, and related traffic-signal tasks.
- Develop generalizable perception approaches for diverse operational design domains and country or regional expansion.
- Prioritize data collection, labeling, and ground-truth efforts with data teams to improve perception accuracy and labeling efficiency.
- Use data simulation and augmentation to address extreme driving scenarios.
- Productize perception solutions while meeting safety, latency, and software-robustness requirements.
Requirements
- PhD with 4+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS/equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience developing deep-learning models and algorithms for sophisticated real-world problems.
- Proficiency with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Experience with data-driven development and collaboration with data and ground-truth teams.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- Two or more years of technical leadership involving high technical and organizational complexity is a plus.
- Expertise in autonomous-driving or robotics perception using camera-based deep learning is preferred.
- Experience deploying DNN-based solutions to embedded platforms for real-time applications is preferred.
- Technical publications in leading conferences or journals and expertise with Visual Language Models, Transformers, BEV architectures, and modern traffic-signal perception techniques are preferred.
