Base Salary

$79k - $158k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of security platforms and services.
  • Own Terraform infrastructure-as-code standards and GitHub Actions CI/CD practices across the team.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and secure engineering guidance.
  • Drive integration, tuning, and lifecycle management of SIEM, EDR, DLP, PAM, WAF, SOAR, and vulnerability management tooling.
  • Partner with Incident Response, Threat Engineering, and GRC to translate threats, incidents, and compliance needs into engineering solutions and roadmap priorities.
  • Promote AI-assisted engineering tools and practices to improve velocity, code quality, and test coverage.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for security tooling incidents and improve resilience through capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and runbooks.
  • Represent Security Engineering in architecture reviews and cross-functional technical forums.
  • Deliver production-ready systems on time and within budget while enforcing engineering and security standards.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience in security engineering or a related field, including designing and operating cloud-native security platforms at production scale.
  • Experience owning security architecture in AWS or OCI/Aliyun, including multi-account and cross-region/CN environments.
  • Advanced Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, including setting team standards and patterns.
  • Experience designing and maintaining secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Broad hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, PAM, WAF, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools.
  • A proven record of mentoring engineers and leading technical design decisions.
  • Advanced Python scripting and software development skills, including building and operating production APIs and cronjobs on Kubernetes/EKS.
  • Practical experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted engineering and spec-driven development tools.
  • Experience with Agile and/or DevOps frameworks and improving team processes and delivery practices.
