Responsibilities
- Lead development, maintenance, and production support for shared backend infrastructure packages and core data-migration suites.
- Build versioned, independently hosted internal backend and database utilities that feature teams can upgrade or revert.
- Review InnerSource pull requests and maintain reliable, well-architected platform extensions.
- Migrate internal platform tooling from Docker to Kubernetes to improve scalability.
- Integrate automated schema validation and database linting into monorepo pipelines.
- Partner with Product Managers and Team Leads on technical estimates and requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues by analyzing logs, schemas, and system performance.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the internal Architecture Guild.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of Python development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience configuring and working with relational databases.
- At least 2 years of experience designing, implementing, or supporting structural data migrations.
- Experience developing in a Unix or Linux environment.
- Experience building, running, and troubleshooting containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience using Git and Jira within an agile development workflow.
- Strong communication, analytical troubleshooting, learning, and technical questioning skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
