Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C++ data infrastructure microservices for processing and analyzing large datasets.
- Optimize microservices for performance and scalability.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with support teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of microservices.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of data processing and analytics pipelines.
- Work with data engineers, data scientists, quantitative researchers, and other stakeholders to improve data retrieval, processing, and storage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C++ and experience with microservices and/or asynchronous multithreaded applications.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to communicate directly with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with Boost ASIO, Apache Arrow, Parquet, Google Protocol Buffers, FlatBuffers, gRPC, HTTP/REST, and WebSocket protocols is preferred.
- Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, highly available distributed systems, and large datasets is preferred.
- Experience with Rust, Python, or Q is a plus.
