Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and development of PC-based, mobile, and potentially firmware software applications and their interacting protocols.
- Develop software through requirements definition, design, implementation, verification, and validation.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Debug and analyze device issues in the field and field returns.
- Develop software in compliance with internal procedures, FDA, ISO, IEC 62304, and other applicable standards and regulations.
- Contribute to documentation for Class III medical devices and enforce quality-system objectives.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and QA on human-centered, high-quality solutions.
- Conduct cross-functional software reviews and identify and communicate developmental risks.
- Mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions for the digital ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering or scientific field, or equivalent years of experience.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in software design, coding, and technical leadership.
- Experience with C# and .NET development, including Visual Studio.
- Experience with iOS and Swift development.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Preferred experience in regulated environments and medical-device development involving FDA, ISO, or IEC 62304.
- Preferred familiarity with embedded firmware, C#/.NET GUI integration testing, WPF, WinForms, Win32, test-driven development, Agile methodologies, and collaborative development practices.
- Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
