Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and technical design of scalable, secure, and supportable D365 Business Central solutions.
  • Own technical delivery across design, AL development, extensions, integrations, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Design and deliver integrations using Business Central APIs, web services, Azure, and Microsoft Power Platform services.
  • Establish technical standards for architecture, coding, source control, documentation, build and release management, automated testing, and quality assurance.
  • Review solution designs and code, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, clients, and specialists to plan work, estimate effort, manage dependencies, and align priorities.
  • Identify technical risks and blockers, communicate impacts, and guide practical resolutions.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide hands-on technical guidance to developers.
  • Contribute to proposals, estimates, solution demonstrations, and the development of Business Central methods, assets, and market offerings.

Requirements

  • A university degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant practical experience.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions and leading technical workstreams or implementations.
  • Strong experience across the Business Central implementation lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Advanced knowledge of AL, extension-based architecture, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Online.
  • Experience designing scalable, upgrade-safe solutions within the wider Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Experience establishing and governing source control, branching, automated build and deployment pipelines, environment management, automated testing, peer review, and release controls.
  • Ability to assess complex requirements, make technical decisions, and communicate direction to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience estimating and planning technical work, managing priorities and dependencies, and owning delivery quality and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or reviewing developers.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 or related Microsoft certifications and consulting or client-facing experience are advantageous but not essential.
