Forward Deployed Engineer, Professional Services
CloudflareResponsibilities
- Advise strategic enterprise customers on Cloudflare solutions, particularly Workers and Workers AI.
- Lead architectural discussions, design sessions, and solution reviews in customer environments.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and deliver strategic solutions with Support and Product teams.
- Manage complex customer configurations using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Partners, Product Management, and Engineering.
- Provide guidance on security, network optimization, scalability, and performance tuning.
- Stay current with Cloudflare products and industry trends to recommend configuration improvements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a technical customer-facing role such as Solutions Architect or Technical Account Manager.
- Deep knowledge of Cloudflare’s application and security portfolio, including DNS, WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, and CDN.
- Hands-on experience protecting web applications, APIs, and web services with WAF, DDoS, DNS, and Bot Management tools.
- Experience working with Cloudflare products in enterprise-level accounts.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and consultative communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems in customer environments and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Coding experience and hands-on experience with Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI are preferred.
- Prior customer onsite placement experience is preferred.
