Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel components for CIQ products and services.
- Build and maintain kernel live-patching infrastructure, automation, and tools.
- Debug and resolve complex kernel-level issues involving memory management, process scheduling, and inter-process communication.
- Integrate kernel components with hardware platforms and evaluate relevant Linux kernel advancements.
- Conduct performance analysis and optimization of kernel components.
- Review code submissions, document designs and processes, and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and lead operational and technical projects.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C programming and strong knowledge of low-level system programming concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals, file systems, device drivers, kernel module development, and kpatch operation.
- Familiarity with x86 and ARM hardware platforms and their interaction with the Linux kernel.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of Linux kernel development experience, including system-level programming and device driver development.
- Extensive experience developing Linux kernel components such as process management, memory management, and inter-process communication.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent problem-solving skills.
