Responsibilities
- Design independent system-level test strategies covering black-box, white-box, gray-box, functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, and non-functional testing.
- Build reusable test environments supporting Windows applications, Linux containers, virtual machines, embedded devices, and networked systems.
- Automate deployment, configuration, reset, cleanup, test execution, and distributed test-agent or runner workflows.
- Develop reusable automated test libraries, test data, configuration management, BDD tests, REST API tests, and UI or web tests.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrate automated tests, handle artifacts and test results, and troubleshoot pipeline failures.
- Investigate system interactions and diagnose root causes across software, hardware, virtualization, and industrial network boundaries.
- Perform network troubleshooting and packet analysis and collaborate with developers, testers, and architects.
Requirements
- Strong system-level testing, test automation, troubleshooting, test strategy, test coverage, traceability, testability, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience testing Windows applications and services, Linux and containerized software, virtual environments, multi-VM systems, and virtual networking.
- Practical CI/CD experience creating and maintaining automated pipelines, integrating automated tests, deploying test agents or runners, and supporting distributed test execution.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Reqnroll, RESTful API automation, UI or web automation such as Playwright, and maintaining automated tests.
- Fluent spoken and written English with strong analytical and technical communication skills.
- Highly desired: TCP/IP, TCP/UDP, IP addressing, DNS, routing, firewalls, Wireshark, and industrial protocols such as OPC UA, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, PROFIBUS, or IEC 61850.
- Experience with C#, PowerShell, Git, JSON, YAML, and XML.
- Bonus experience with PKI, X.509 certificates, TLS, authentication, authorization, secure communication, remote access, Azure DevOps, AI-assisted testing, and embedded hardware/software integration.
