Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered healthcare solutions using large language models and Generative AI services.
- Build conversational healthcare assistants and intelligent workflows for personalized member service journeys.
- Develop RAG solutions with semantic search, healthcare knowledge retrieval, vector databases, and enterprise knowledge sources.
- Engineer and orchestrate AI agents using multi-step reasoning, tool-calling patterns, and workflow automation.
- Implement healthcare member experience features including provider and facility search, symptom guidance, benefits and coverage guidance, cost estimation, claims status, and contact center escalation.
- Implement AI Gateway integrations, LLM routing and orchestration, prompt management, transcript logging, observability, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks.
- Develop and optimize APIs, backend services, and chatbot interfaces while integrating AI models into web applications.
- Ensure AI solutions support healthcare privacy, HIPAA, Responsible AI, safety, monitoring, performance, latency, and cost-efficiency requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in AI-powered healthcare solution development and Azure cloud engineering.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Services, RAG, vector database integration, semantic search, API development, and LLM orchestration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Preferred knowledge of knowledge graph engineering, healthcare ontology modeling, Azure messaging and application services, advanced prompt engineering, AI evaluation frameworks, observability tools, and agentic workflow automation.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate is preferred.
- Certification in Responsible AI or HIPAA healthcare data privacy is preferred.
