Base Salary
$115k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Author reusable skills that encode business processes, judgment, and edge cases for agents.
- Connect agents to systems of record through MCP servers and expand MCP integrations where needed.
- Define correctness with business teams, build evaluation sets, establish baselines, and use evals to determine what ships.
- Deploy agents from prototype to production with permissions, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, audit trails, rollback, monitoring, and user support.
- Partner with data engineers on data access, models, quality, and requirements.
- Work directly with internal teams to understand their processes and turn them into reliable agent workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Substantial hands-on experience shipping LLM-backed applications using prompting, tool use, agentic loops, and multi-step workflows.
- Experience shipping at least one agent that non-engineers depend on.
- Practical experience with MCP, skill or tool authoring, and orchestrating agents against real systems of record.
- Experience building evaluation sets and using them to make product or deployment decisions.
- Fluency with agentic coding tools such as Cursor.
- Strong Python skills and comfort with SQL and production data models.
- Ability to translate non-technical operators' processes into requirements without a PM.
- Comfort working with ambiguity, undocumented processes, broken internal tools, and unclear ownership.
- Operational experience with Git, CI, containers, deployment, and maintaining healthy production software.
- Bonus experience maintaining MCP servers, solutions engineering, professional services, internal tools, startup founding, or regulated domains.
- Working knowledge of Linear, Jira, Zendesk, Salesforce, or Snowflake is a bonus.
