Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to secure complex infrastructure, applications, products, and systems.
  • Contribute to product security engineering through threat modeling, security risk assessment, fuzzing, program analysis, vulnerability research, exploit mitigations, cryptographic assessment, and incident response.
  • Contribute to secure systems engineering involving secure OS features, hypervisors, secure boot, key management, trusted execution environments, and programmatic security improvements.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity engineering involving OT security, application security, security architecture, GRC, threat hunting, incident response, automation, risk management, endpoint security, forensics, phishing, and malware analysis.
  • Work hands-on to protect mobile, IoT, connectivity, and other real-world devices and systems from attacks.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date of November 2027 or later.
  • Available for 11–14 weeks during Summer 2027, from May through September.
  • For Product Security Engineering, relevant experience may include threat modeling, fuzzing, program analysis, supply chain security, vulnerability research, hardware security, AI model security, and computer systems or embedded device security.
  • For Secure Systems Engineering, relevant knowledge includes systems security, operating systems, hypervisors, trusted execution environments, secure boot, key management, and programming languages including C, C++, Java, and Python.
  • For Cybersecurity Engineering, relevant knowledge includes cybersecurity principles, statistics, ML/AI, security frameworks, endpoint security, cryptography, forensics, phishing, malware analysis, and Windows or Linux.
  • Preferred candidates may be pursuing BS, MS, or Ph.D. degrees in ECE, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Preferred candidates have at least one year of relevant academic experience in computer systems security, embedded device security, or programming languages.
