Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, evolution, and delivery of high-throughput distributed systems for global operations and supply-chain scheduling.
- Build and maintain scalable Java backend applications and Spring-based microservices.
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant, secure cloud-based systems with strong performance and maintainability.
- Apply AI/ML technologies to production systems, including model deployment and operational optimization.
- Lead software projects as a technical lead and mentor software engineers.
- Use generative AI development tools and related technologies to improve development, debugging, testing, and code quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional work experience.
- At least five years of professional software development experience.
- At least two years of Java experience, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and maintainable backend code.
- Experience with the Spring ecosystem, dependency injection, auto-configuration, reactive programming with WebFlux, and Spring-based microservices.
- Experience designing, implementing, and shipping high-scale, high-performance, highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud-based distributed systems.
- Experience building and deploying production machine-learning models using modern frameworks and supervised or unsupervised learning techniques.
- Preferred experience leading software projects and mentoring engineers as a technical lead.
- Preferred experience with Claude, Copilot, or Codex for software development.
- Preferred experience with NLP, generative AI, LLMs, RAG, embedding pipelines, vector databases, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred experience with relational and NoSQL databases, schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, execution-plan analysis, indexing strategy, and query rewriting.
