Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications with OCI product leaders and service teams.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and complete scalable customer-facing cloud services.
- Automate common tasks to support continuous delivery and availability with minimal manual effort.
- Maintain development and production infrastructure and uphold operational excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and feedback to leaders, teammates, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and scope work with stakeholders.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and raise engineering quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software-industry experience with architecture, system and software design, development, and delivery of scalable products and services.
- Minimum qualification of 5 years of software development experience, or a relevant bachelor's degree plus 1 year of software development experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent education, where applicable to the experience pathway.
- Strong backend development experience in Java or another modern programming language.
- Experience with microservice architecture, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with GitLab, JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform in development and delivery workflows.
- At least 1 year of academic or professional cloud-platform experience and 2 years of system-level testing and automation experience.
- At least 1 year of experience delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, code-writing, communication, organization, interpersonal, and learning skills.
- Preferred qualifications include 6 years of software development experience, a relevant bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience, or a relevant master's degree.
- Previous system monitoring, automation, and incident-management experience is preferred.
