Responsibilities
- Provide tier 3 product support for Agilent Lab Advisor, Lab Assist, QTOF Diagnostics, and TCD Software.
- Support acquisition software and future customer diagnostic software needs.
- Develop and implement software features and defect resolutions.
- Debug, validate, and test diagnostic software elements.
- Participate in product coding design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with R&D design engineers to establish product requirements.
- Work with marketing, sales, technical support, QA, manufacturing, product development, and external customers on features, supportability, reliability, cost, and release schedules.
- Create technical training content and deliver training to technical support teams, including field service and remote service engineers.
- Write product and process user documentation when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience with analytical scientific instruments.
- Experience with LC and/or MS.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree.
- Software engineering experience designing and supporting complex software systems.
- Strong software engineering principles using C and/or C++.
- Experience with real-time operating systems and concurrent programming.
- Fluency in Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of web server technology and REST APIs.
