Responsibilities
- Design and develop Android Automotive OS infotainment applications with emphasis on modularity, performance, and maintainability.
- Architect full-stack solutions for media, navigation, user profiles, and distributed playback.
- Develop modules communicating with VHAL and other HALs through AIDL and HIDL.
- Integrate applications with Android system services and vendor-specific frameworks.
- Debug and optimize issues across application, framework, and HAL layers.
- Collaborate with platform, hardware, and QA teams on integration and validation.
- Mentor junior developers and promote architecture, code-quality, and testing best practices.
- Create and present architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation details.
- Lead Android infotainment application development across automotive platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of professional experience is required; the description specifies six years in Android application development and infotainment or telematics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++14/17.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
- Experience with Android Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
- Hands-on experience with AIDL, HIDL, VHAL, HAL-to-application communication, AAOS car services, and infotainment integration.
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN at the application level.
- Exposure to media, phone, navigation, and cloud-communication applications.
- Experience with partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication.
- Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD workflows, adb, logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, secure communication, and cybersecurity practices.
