Responsibilities

  • Build and develop secure cloud-based solutions as part of an agile delivery team.
  • Lead the design, migration, deployment, management, monitoring, and ongoing support of cloud solutions.
  • Implement AWS infrastructure and security services that are highly available, scalable, secure, and compliant.
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and collaborate with support teams on cloud operations.
  • Provide third-line support for deployed cloud-based solutions.
  • Automate time-intensive management and maintenance activities, including cloud account creation, user management, housekeeping, monitoring, and compliance tasks.
  • Line manage and support the professional development of several junior team members.

Requirements

  • Experience using AWS cloud services, including compute and appropriate managed services.
  • Expertise developing for the cloud through iterative full-stack development using languages such as Node.js or Python.
  • Experience delivering Kubernetes or AWS EKS solutions.
  • Experience managing infrastructure-as-code with tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins is desirable.
  • Experience with cloud automation, microservice and container-based deployment strategies, zero-trust authorization, or migration from on-premises solutions to AWS is desirable.
  • Experience with Azure or GCP is desirable.
  • DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to obtain clearance.

  • The role is full-time and onsite five days per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, based in London, Cheltenham, or Ipswich.
  • A £5,000 annual DV clearance allowance may be payable monthly while the employee holds DV clearance and works in a role requiring it.
