Base Salary
$185k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the recommendation and search personalization strategy across all product surfaces.
- Build end-to-end ML systems for ranking, retrieval, and personalization, including data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and production serving infrastructure.
- Design and interpret experiments that improve relevance and ranking and connect model gains to measurable user outcomes.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate models and ensure reliable production performance.
- Collaborate with Data and Security on scalable architecture addressing data access, privacy, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to hiring, and raise ML fluency across R&D.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building recommendation and/or search systems operating in production at scale.
- Strong ML engineering fundamentals in ranking, retrieval, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and deployment.
- Proven ability to connect model improvements to measurable user and product outcomes through structured experimentation.
- Strong software engineering skills, including reliable pipelines and services, maintainable code, and debugging complex distributed systems.
- Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly and align Product and Engineering teams on direction.
- Preferred: experience in health, fitness, or consumer-facing recommendation platforms.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
