Base Salary

$87k - $157k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced embedded systems within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop software for DSP, ARM, and RISC-V microarchitectures and multi-core systems spanning bare metal, real-time operating systems, and Linux.
  • Read hardware datasheets and write low-level C/C++ code interfacing with control/status registers and hardware components.
  • Create test plans, test procedures, software requirements specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Develop software to validate hardware performance under nominal and stress conditions.
  • Document data-plane and control-plane software performance against key requirements.
  • Communicate software APIs, technical details, and test results to internal and external engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least four years of software development experience, including strong C/C++ development for embedded systems.
  • Experience with integrated development environments, build tools, version control systems, continuous integration tools, software testing, and unit-test frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software interaction, basic computer architecture, Linux development environments, and test-driven development practices.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for software.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, higher-level security clearance, experience with Python or MATLAB, hardware debugging, hardware-interface drivers, multiple embedded instruction set architectures, and tools such as OpenOCD, J-Link, or SEGGER.
