Base Salary
$82k - $113k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing software components for aerospace applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
- Write and maintain code documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support integration of software with hardware systems.
- Work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2+ years of software development experience.
- Basic proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required because the position needs an active U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred: internship or cooperative education experience in software development.
- Preferred: exposure to the aerospace and defense industry.
- Preferred: understanding of C, C#, C++, HTML, Java, Python, and Bash.
- Preferred: experience with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of data structures and software development methodologies.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and perform the hand and finger dexterity needed for coding and testing.
